Addiction for 30!! Years

A prescription for empty

Feelings

Not caring about anything

Else but

Self

Over looking

The fears

Of mixing natural

With the

Un-natural

Fixated on

Being and feeling numb

I watched

I noticed

Those chains

Was BROKEN!!

Gone as he…

Lifted up

His hands to

Praise 

The GOD of OUR

Wonderful, Great and Magnificent

Loving , Charming

SALVATION!!!!

Singing

“GOD ALMIGHTY

LORD OF GLORY

YOU CALL ME FRIEND!”

Shouting

HALLELUJAH!

With tears

Flowing out

The depths

Of his soul

Thanking the

LORD!

Who saved!

Him from

Sin that was

Doing him in

Harming him

Destroying him

Deceiving him

Slowly killing him

Leaving him with no hope

Keeping him FROM!!!!!

The only ONE!!!

Who TOOK ALL his

INIQUITIES!

Put them on his shoulders

And CONQUERED them

ALL!!!!!

But for 30 years

My brother

Ran

Fighting  

Thinking he was

Living

Did what sinners

Do always

Satisfy the

Flesh

Not what’s best!

But the worst

Thinking this is it

Enjoying life

Forgetting what was

Taught

About how CHRIST!!

Brought our sins

And paid it

With his

SINLESS life

Gave it up

For us

His throne

His glory

His heavenly

Sanctuary

His seat next to the

FATHER!

To save us my BROTHER!!!!!!

All these years

Of…..

Walking in his own way

Now he’s doing it

In GOD”S will 

And

His way

No more strong

Drinks!

He put to his mouth

Only living WATER

From the fountain

That never dries out

No more cigarettes or weed

To breathe in

The breath of CHRIST

Has cleaned and has cleared

His lungs from within

His feet dances to

A different beat

As he rises out of 

His seat

Standing with his hands

Raised 

Jumping for the JOY of his FREEDOM!

I’m not amazed

That’s what JESUS!!

Do!!

He makes you

Brand new!!!!

I am exhilarated 

Happy

Joy felt

ENCORAGED

Blessed

To know my big brother

Has taken

GOD’S promises

Seriously

Letting him put asunder

Every sin and…

The weights

Now a participant

In waiting on

Thee

The

Author and finisher

Of his faith

 

No matter how

Long

The length

The time

In the middle

He is running

Down VICTORY avenue

Forsaking the dark allies

Looking to hills

For comfort

For peace

For power

For deliverance

Forsaken the drugs

Awaiting 

For the ARRIVAL! 

Of our precious

LORD and SAVIOR

From above!!!!

Forgetting all things OF!!!

A sinful past

Restored and salvaged

Under the blood

Old made new

With confidence

He stands boldly

Yet humble

Before his KING!

With new clean clothes

Washed in the POWERFUL BLOOD OF THE LAMB

I pray GOD 

Give him

The strength

To continue to be an overcomer

And with faith

The size of an mustard

Seed

He will survive

He will not die!

Twice!

But live forever more

Christ KNOCKED on his door

He opened it

He let him in

Not to ever let him leave!
